‘Tis the season to be jolly as COA XII celebrated another successful year last December 20, 2022 by organizing a Paghiliupod, Hiligaynon for fellowship, with the theme “Pasko sa COA, Pag-asa, Pagkakaisa, Pagmamahalan, at Pasasalamat.”

The full day event kicked off with a thanksgiving mass to express gratitude for the strength and blessings received throughout the year. After, the children were treated to a fun-filled Christmas party. A skilled magician wowed the young audience with impressive tricks, while various games and activities kept them entertained. The party provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to experience the joy and magic of the holiday season. Simultaneously, the final judgment for the four-month-long COAmmunity Cleanliness and Beautification Competition took place.

The day continued with the recognition of CY 2022 retirees in Pagkilala, attended by Ms. Pilar Z. Regalado and Ms. Urduja D. Untal, who have both served the government for 40 years. The other retirees, Ms. Ruth R. Salvador, Engr. Reynaldo T. Agan, Ms. Evangeline D. Delicano, Ms. Floserfina F. Reyno, Mr. Ernesto L. Estimo, and Ms. Resurrecion R. Dapula, were honored with respective tribute videos and heartfelt messages from their COA XII family.

The night of the event was illuminated by the parols prepared by the audit groups and support services during the COA Dose Lantern Parade or Kasanag. Each group marched around the COA XII compound with their creative lanterns and joyful cheers, embodying the significance of the Christmas spirit. The groups further showcased their talents in Pasundayag, with each presentation opened with video footage of various outreach programs or Sakdag organized by every group to highlight the essence of Christmas – sharing one's blessings. Serenaded by the renowned BFP XII Soulfire Band, the hype of the night never faltered as the winners for the COAmmunity Competition and the much-awaited yearend COA XII Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (EMPC) raffle, with a new Apple iPad for the grand prize, were announced throughout the night.

The success of the year-end event was a remarkable feat in light of the year's challenges and hurdles that the Commission overcame. The shared moments and glee demonstrated that COA XII personnel, despite the looming deadlines
every year-end and the next, can maintain poise under pressure and are prepared to face yet another set of challenges the new year may bring.
